Background
As the employment of FDW in Singapore continues to rise affluently, factors that affect FDW’s mental health should be of concern as it correlates to an individual’s functioning and well-being. This cause for a need for more meaningful chances for newer FDWs to interact and socialise with the community to minimise feelings of homesickness and social isolation.
Strategy
By increasing opportunities that promote encourage them surpass their current comfort zones and expand their social circle. They will then be able to gain confidence in themselves through meaningful communal interactions, which will help to impact their mental well-being positively.
